Yew Grange is a distinctive period house located within easy reach of Bristol, offering a combination of unusual architectural character which delivers a wealth of filming possibilities.. Its castellated facade is reminiscent of a Scottish hunting lodge, but set within more genteel surroundings. The grounds include two formal walled gardens, ancient woodland, and expansive lawns with uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. Set within the woodland are the ruins of an open-air theatre and pet cemetery, both providing quirky back drops.

Across the site there are several original outbuildings including old stables and a coach house that mirrors the main building’s castellated style. From here a long, sweeping drive leads up to the main house perfect for wide shot arrivals. Inside, the house features a mix of period detail and simple, striking interiors. Large rooms, high ceilings and huge windows provide natural light and adaptable spaces that are highly production-friendly for both film and photography.

FACILITIES AT THE LOCATION

A well equipped crew base is available in the main house with access to kitchen and toilet facilities. The house could potentially be used with prior arrangement as a ‘shoot and stay’ option with 7 bedrooms.

There are further accommodation options in nearby Taunton as well as numerous catering establishments.

There is plenty of hardstanding parking in the courtyard area with access to an electrical supply.

GETTING TO YEW GRANGE

Trains go from London Paddington to Taunton, Yew Grange is then approx 20mins  by car.

Both Bath and Bristol are approx just over an hour by car
