The Greensand Estate, ME17

The Greensand Estate is a perfect example of a magnificent rural filming and photo shoot location in the Kent countryside, and only 1 hour’s drive into London.

Approached along an impressive beech avenue, rising before you is the fine and mighty, stucco-fronted mansion in brilliant white, dating back to 1730 and recently restored to its former splendour. It stands on the ridge of The Greensand Way, and as writers have described, it boasts “the county of Kent as its garden” where the views are extraordinarily endless.

In reality, the gardens are still a vast 20 acres of manicured grounds, extending into historic parkland with a lake and boat house, a cricket pitch, and the wider estate of 400+ acres spans farmland, woodland and a variety of houses and outbuildings.

A huge bonus for any shoot crew is that the main house stands vacant, and can easily combine both production space with filming space. It offers the ground floor with 6 exquisite reception rooms along with practical rooms upstairs and downstairs (including a large catering kitchen and garden room as well as 12 empty bedrooms). It truly is an excellent takeover location for all types of shoots of all sizes.
