Idle Farm, TW20

Idle Farm is just that, an abandoned farm left to its own devices save for the cows grazing here and there. The farm is a rare find with 100 acres of uninhabited grass wasteland just on the edge of the M25. The fields are dotted with crumbling derelict buildings that have given over to nature hinting at the working farm it once was. The land is cut through by a river during the summer months straddled by a small bridge. Idle Farm provides a stark backdrop for when a shoot requires a desolate abandoned landscape within easy access from London. Idle Farm’s sister location, Herdsman Farm is only 10 minutes drive away and can be paired together for productions.

  • 100 acres of wild and natural flat grass fields including an old walled garden area as well as a summer river and marshland areas
  • Numerous dilapidated and overgrown buildings including a derelict milking parlour for Jersey cattle, bull pens and an old hay barn.
  • Hard standing tracks and a small bridge over the river
  • Aberdeen Angus cows and sheep

FACILITIES AT THE FARM
