As a shoot location, this lake is simply very special, from every angle.
Its idyllic position within the rolling countryside of East Sussex provides many vantage points to enjoy both the lake and the far-reaching views extending across and beyond the Brede Valley.
On approaching the lake from any direction, be prepared to be blown away by its setting. Sitting neatly within a natural amphitheatre, surrounded by sloping lush grassland, you cannot help but let loose and run down the hill to reach the waterside.
Up close, enjoy losing a few hours, relaxed by its tranquility and the activity from nature’s diversity that now calls the lake its home.
A rowing boat is available for transport and to reach the lake’s island.
The lake is located at Hare Farm, Brede, near Rye, just an hour or so by train or car from London. Hare Farm provides many beautiful locations across the farm for a variety of film, Tv or photoshoots.
The lake can be accessed from a nearby lane, and then either walk or drive approximately 100m from the field gate. The local pub, the Red Lion would be an ideal lunch stop just 2 minutes drive away. Or Gary, the chef, will bring lunch (or a picnic) to you.
