Ivykeep Estate, DN21
A 75-acre working farm centred on a late-17th-century castle, set within classic English farmland, woodland and water. The estate combines formal parkland, arable fields, ancient woodland, a wildlife-rich lake and atmospheric corners, offering a compact location with a wide range of scenic and historic backdrops.
The castle is complemented by stables, stone barns, a listed piggery and a mix of historic and modern farm buildings, alongside derelict structures including a gatehouse and ruined house. With formal lawns, tracks through woodland, a Christmas tree plantation and both vintage and modern farm machinery, Ivykeep Estate provides versatile settings for filming and photography, all within easy reach of major northern cities.
