Over the years we have enjoyed connecting with hundreds of landowners keen to explore the opportunity to diversity as a farm location.
We have been unable to accommodate everyone in the portfolio of locations that we manage. If we did, we would lose the personal touch and would not know all our locations well enough to deliver the excellent service that we are known for. Helping others is key for us – we don’t want to be the agency that just “lists and leaves”. What we do is list and then stay actively engaged, promoting, encouraging, facilitating, growing. We are doing our best to create film opportunities for every owner in the portfolio.
In being purposefully small, we have had to turn landowners away. This action dosen’t come easy, especially when we have not been able to suggest another solution to help the landowner on their way.
From NOW though, we are changing that! Instead, we are working hard to create a whole new instant-access service which gives landowners the resources to learn and build their own shoot location venture in their own time. We won’t have to turn landowners away ever again as we are building something that means we can help everyone, if they’d like some help.
We are creating a subscription service called The FIELD. Everyone will have the the chance to open the gate, then learn from the experts and help feed their ambition to become a film location.
Every landowner in Britain has the opportunity to be a shoot location. You can never say never to someone knocking at your door, who might want to shoot at yours. The chances might be slim for those in far-out places with little to offer. But if you are not in it, you are not going to win it!

When I was looking to set my family farm up as a shoot location, I found the only way was to see if a London locations agency would list me and learn from there. When nothing resulted from handing the control to the agency, I looked around, no-one else seems to get us or indeed show an interest in us. We farmed in a valley far away from London.
So I started to do it myself and within a few weeks of getting our name out there, I secured the first shoot. It was a wonderful feeling, I was fascinated by the hosting, and loved being the key location in the next issue of Tatler.
Fast forward several years and now I’m loving what I do even more. And that’s working as a small team of 3 with Carolyn and Gemma, to give other landowners the confidence in doing the same thing, and bringing them some joy and a bonus income too.
